We are pleased to offer our guests accommodations in The Trout House or The Guest Cabin

The Trout House

The Trout House is nestled on the banks of a trout stream with stunning views of the Absaroka, Crazy and Gallatin Mountain Ranges and is offered year round for your getaway retreat, family vacation, intimate wedding, or romantic getaway. Just a 30 minute drive north of Yellowstone Park, in the very heart of Paradise Valley and at the base of 11,000 ft. Emigrant Mountain, this beautiful log cabin offers you all the comforts and conveniences of home in a most extraordinary setting. Three cozy bedrooms and two full baths comfortably accommodate six to eight guests. The vaulted great room with stone fireplace opens into the gourmet's kitchen and dining area. Large windows offer spectacular views of the Absaroka Range and the surrounding foothills. Six Mile Creek meanders year round through a grove of cottonwoods surrounding the Trout House. From June through September our authentic Plains Indian Tipi will sleep three additional guests. The Tipi is tucked into the cottonwoods next to the creek and has it's own campfire ring.

The Trout House is exquisitely furnished, beautifully appointed, and perfectly located for your Montana adventure. We welcome your inquiry.

The great room: stone fireplace, central heat, library with over 100 books on subjects from art and music to western history and legend and everything in between, games for adults and children, puzzles, cards, poker chips, a 3CD music system with remote control and selection of CDs, VCR and DVD movies, TV and magazines for all interests. There is also a private telephone with answering machine and a jack for a computer.

The Rainbow Room has a log queen bed, ensuite bath, and a view of the creek.
The Cutthroat Room has a log queen bed, shared bath, and a mountain view.
The Golden Trout Room has two sets of bunk beds, shared bath, and a mountain view.

Both bathrooms have a tub and shower. Additional linens and towels are provided. A playpen/crib and highchair are provided upon request. Laundry area includes: washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, detergent and dryer sheets.

Gourmet's kitchen is equipped with the following; dishwasher, gas range and oven, microwave, refrigerator with bottom freezer and ice maker, coffee maker and grinder, toaster, blender, electric griddle, crock pot, full pot and pan set, steamer, two sets of dishes, full cutlery service, steak knives, complete selection of kitchen knives, cookbooks, three sets of glassware plus wine, champagne and cordial glasses, cloth place mats and napkins, and a complete selection of kitchen utensils. The cupboard is stocked with condiments, herbs and spices and all manner of seasonings and hot sauces, oils and vinegars, assorted teas, coffee, cereals, peanut butter, jellies and a variety of canned goods.

The front porch is covered and has chairs, a table and overlooks the landscaped yard. The rear deck is on-stream with a gas BBQ, picnic table and steamy hot spa. There is a campfire ring for toasting s'mores, a swing, hammock, horseshoe pit, and volleyball area. The Trout House is accessed by its own  private road and has undercover parking.

The Guest Cabin
  
The Guest Cabin sits at the edge of a cottonwood grove with a trout stream running through and affords spectacular mountain vistas for wildlife viewing. There is a sun deck, a streamside BBQ pit with stone fire ring, a large wood picnic table and benches, a tree swing and horseshoe pits. The covered entrance to the Guest Cabin includes antler pegs to hang your coats, hats and wet waders, and a rod rack to store your fly rods. 

Let's go inside. The interior is comfortably decorated in an anglers motif. A library of fly fishing and Montana history books are available for that bedtime read. Your private log cabin with bath is comfortably furnished and will accommodate four guests in a queen log bed and oversized log bunk beds, rocking chairs, a large desk with swivel chair, a beverage refrigerator, microwave, plates, bowls, flatware, cups, glasses, music system, coffee and tea service and telephone. A log stairway goes up to a loft for peaceful naps and to store your baggage out of the way. Outside your door there is a three burner gas BBQ with side burner and cast iron skillet for cooking, a large cooler for extra storage and a smaller cooler for you to take on day trips.

The Guest Cabin is the perfect spot for your Montana vacation. We invite you to come and enjoy the peace and quiet and settle in for a restful and relaxing visit under the Big Sky. 

The Teepee

For those guests exclusive to the Trout House we offer an authentic Sioux Indian Plains Tipi. Three guests can enjoy a cozy and comfortable night as did Montana's early natives. The Tipi is roomy, lighted with lanterns, has a carpeted floor and three beds fitted with thick foam mattresses and fluffy sleeping bags. The tipi is streamside and nestled in a grove of cottonwoods with an outdoor fire ring for campfires under the stars.
